The goal of the VALOR (Violence Against Law Officer Research) Project is to EMPOWER OFFICERS and SAVE LIVES through evidence-based research.
I created this website primarily to serve as a data-gathering portal for the Law Enforcement Near-Miss Database (LENMDB). I hope that this site will also be useful in facilitating the open exchange of evidence-based data on officer survival and care under fire.
This website, and all associated research, is being done on my own time and with my own funds. I pledge that any and all research presented here will be unbiased, and that I have not received any compensation from any organization to promote specific products or training. This research will always be for YOU, not for me or for any commercial entity.
I sincerely hope that you find this website useful. I am always open to suggestions on how to better serve you and your departments. Please feel free to contact me with any ideas.
